Club Benefits

The Sailing Club Hua Hin is the only sailing club on the West Coast of the Gulf of Thailand, often known as the Royal Coast.  Club Members will have preferential rates for sailing courses and also for renting the Club’s boats.  Members will be able to bring and store their own boats securely.  Members will be able to participate in the regular regattas organised by the Club.  Members will be able to enjoy the cool deck, bar and restaurant as well as make use of the showers and changing facilities.

Membership Categories

There are four categories of membership:

Family Annual.  This membership is available to all those living in the same house or apartment.  Members benefit from preferential rates on boat rentals and lessons.  In addition all family annual members are entitled to a 10% discount on boat rental fees, lessons and food and beverage at the Club.  Cost 15,000 Baht per annum.

Individual Annual. For the lone sailor.  Members benefit from preferential rates on boat rentals and lessons.  In addition Individual Annual members are entitled to a 10% discount on boat rental fees, lessons and food and beverage at the Club.  Cost 12,000 Baht per annum.

Family Monthly: This membership is available to all those living in the same house or apartment.  Monthly members benefit from preferential rates on boat rentals and lessons.  However they do NOT receive the 10% discount available to annual members.  Monthly members are not obliged to renew every month if they will not be able to make use of the membership.  Membership can be suspended.  Cost 1,500 Baht per month.

Individual Monthly: For the lone sailor.  Monthly members benefit from preferential rates on boat rentals and lessons.  However they do NOT receive the 10% discount available to annaul members.  Monthly members are not obliged to renew every month if they will not be able to make use of the membership.  Membership can be suspended.  Cost 1,200 Baht per month.

Non Members:  Non members are welcome to make use of the Club facilities, bar and restaurant, however boat rental rates are considerbaly higher.  See the Boat Rental prices below.

Club Rules

The Club is run by the Management Committee.

The Management reserves the right to refuse an application for membership without giving reasons.

Members may bring guests to the club within reason.  A frequent guest may be required to join the Club.  Non-members are required to sign the Visitors Book at the Bar.

Members are responsible for the behaviour of their guests.  Children who are left unaccompanied at the club are required to respect the authority of the sailing team.  Persistent incidents may lead to the offender from being barred from the club.

All members boats stored at the Club are at their own risk.  All boats stored at the club must be stored on a rack.  Only members’ boats may be stored at the club.

All sailing activities are at Member’s own risk.  Members will be expected to wear a buoyancy aid at all times on the water.  If the club deems that conditions are too severe for safe sailing a Red Flag will be flown.  When the Red Flag is flying there will be no security offered to any sailors.

Membership fees must be paid in advance of the due date.  If payment is late for whatever reason a member will lose his privileges, locker and boat storage facilities.  Membership renewal notices will be sent out not later than 28 days before they become due.
