Explanation of  Windfinder

If the wave height is above 1 metre it sometimes makes it difficult to launch the security boat.

It is also very difficult to launch and land an Optimist in waves over 1 metre

Windspeeds from 0 – 10 kph are ideal for beginners

Windspeeds from 10 – 15 kph are fine for Level 2 sailors

Windspeeds above 15 kph are for more advanced sailors.

Windspeeds above 25 kph are exhilarating but only for very experienced sailors.
